Suncoast Community Telco (SCCT) is part of an exciting, Australia-wide telecommunications concept based on  Bendigo Bank Community Bank® model.

In 2006 Woombye was the first Australian community to take up the initiative to benefit local businesses, local families and local jobs.

The concept is simple; if the community changes on mass to the local telephone service, be it fixed line, mobile or internet, about 5% of the profits are ploughed back into the local community. See the links for more information.
