Community – Groups
The 2 LH REGT – Woombye Troop inc. is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Lighthorsemen who faithfully served Australia, abroad and at home.
Our focus is on informing and educating the community on the benefits of planting local native plants and on providing assistance in all aspects of that through action at creekside restoration and regeneration projects, site visits, talks and workshops, as well as providing healthy local native plants from our Florabunda Bushcare Nursery.
Our team of Educators partner with children, parents and the community in an enriching environment designed to build a community of learners.
During 2020 the club underwent a name change. The Club was formerly known as the Lions Club of Palmwoods-Woombye Inc District 201Q4. The Club was originally chartered on the 27th of April 1979 with 22 members.
