The 2 LH REGT – Woombye Troop inc. is dedicated to preserving the memory of the Lighthorsemen who faithfully served Australia, abroad and at home.

Our focus is on informing and educating the community on the benefits of planting local native plants and on providing assistance in all aspects of that through action at creekside restoration and regeneration projects, site visits, talks and workshops, as well as providing healthy local native plants from our Florabunda Bushcare Nursery.

During 2020 the club underwent a name change. The Club was formerly known as the Lions Club of Palmwoods-Woombye Inc District 201Q4. The Club was originally chartered on the 27th of April 1979 with 22 members.
Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. We meet the needs of our local communities and the world.

Friendship and enjoyment are important to us. We hold regular social gatherings as well as participating in fund raising for community projects.

Florabunda Bushcare is a community native nursery open to the general public. We sell plants native to the Sunshine Coast.
We specialise in local rainforest and open forest species for revegetation and regeneration. Home gardening is catered for with special areas offering ground covers and small shrubs and trees. There are also bush tucker plants and bird, butterfly and wildlife attracting plants. We also hold workshops.
